Airlines Overview

Saudi Arabian Airlines

Saudi Arabian Airlines offers direct service from New York (JFK) and Washington Dulles to its hubs in Jeddah and Riyadh. As Jeddah is the principal gateway to Mecca, the holiest city in Islam. It's no surprise that the airline offers onward connections to over 70 destinations in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Flights tend to be extremely full around Hajj, the Arabic term for the pilgrimage. Muslims are required to make it to Mecca at least once in their lifetime, and which usually occurs sometime in December or January. Flights around the holy month of Ramadan, usually in October or November, also tend to be quite full.
